Mutual of Omaha Grand Prix AquaHawgs Shine Against the Nation’s Best The Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational was the last stop of the eight-meet 2007-08 Toyota Grand Prix Series and the final tune-up prior to the 2008 U. S. Olympic Team Trials. The event was held in a temporary indoor pool at the Qwest Center, the same pool that will be used at the Olympic Trials. AquaHawgs swimmers’ Stephanie Carr, Katie Kastes, Jamie Marks, Erica Totten, Yi Ting Siow, and Ellis Miller competed alongside Olympians Michael Phelps, Katie Hoff, Megan Jendrick, Gary Hall Jr., Kaitlin Sandeno, Erik Vendt, Neil Walker and a host of other U.S. National Team members and international medalists. AquaHawgs’ swimmers swam very well and were well represented in each evening’s finals. Highlights included Katie Kastes qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 400 freestyle and the 400 individual medley, Yi Ting Siow finishing 3rd in the 200 Breast ahead of Olympic Gold Medalist Megan Jendrick, and Ellis Miller qualifying for his first Championship “A” Final at a major national event.

RAC AquaHawgs TYR Invitational Meet Recap
I want to thank everyone who volunteered their help and assistance to ensure that the RAC AquaHawgs Invitational was a success. We have received very positive feedback from coaches, parents, and swimmers that attended the meet. Without your help, we could not have pulled it off in such a quality manner. Thank you!
Congratulations to all swimmers! We had a very successful meet with several best times, state qualifying times, and new state qualifiers. Way to go everyone and keep up the hard work as we try to build on that success throughout the remainder of the summer. Click here for the RAC AquaHawg Invitational results.
